Currently the Golden Retriever sits at Number Three in the AKC Favorite Dog List. It has been Number 3 for at least 6 years. Soon the new statistics will be out and I wonder if it will stay the same or change. They are Number 3 because they enjoy what they do, whether it is as a Family Companion, Guide Dog or Search and Rescue or Hunting. They are always friendly and can be a great pal to humans. They love to work and play hard!
